Key Responsibilities Include:
 

• Define system requirements for video processing and delivery to cable, IPTV, Satellite and mobile service operators.
• Research and evaluate technology for inclusion into Clearleap’s family of solutions.
• Stay abreast of latest technology trends, products and standards related to video processing and delivery related to the television industry.
• Work closely with the engineering development team as a senior technical resource.
• Work in close cooperation with customers, users and internal staff to research, assess and define customer requirements.
• Occasionally attend industry trade shows and conferences.

Qualifications:

• In depth knowledge of MPEG-4, AVC, and MPEG-2 pre and post encode/decode processing, application of filters for video enhancement.
• Experience evaluating picture quality on the TV from various codecs and source materials. Ability to perform tuning functions to improve overall quality.
• Knowledge of DVB and ATSC Standards.
• Advanced understanding of digital video solutions in cable, IPTV, Satellite and Broadband TV environments.
• Understanding of transport and control protocols related to video delivery.
• Understanding of internet video streaming/distribution technologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a highly organized manner.
• Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive initiatives and competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
• Goal oriented, self-directed and self-motivated within a team environment.
