board of directors

"We are impressed by Clearleap’s pioneering approach to video delivery – a market with tremendous year-over-year growth and great opportunity."

- Fred Wang, General Partner at Trinity Ventures

The Clearleap Board of Directors guides our overall direction and philosophy, as well as provides governance and general oversight to the organization.  The board includes veteran business leaders with many years of experience and a deep understanding of our industry, consumers, and technology.

Braxton Jarratt - CEO
Braxton has driven innovation and growth in senior management roles with technology and media companies large and small, most recently as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Tandberg Television (an Ericsson Company), the world's largest supplier of digital television systems. At Tandberg, he led the rapid expansion of the company into the North American television market and video on demand (VOD) software business, building a world-class customer base of leading television operators and programmers. He launched and secured the initial key customers for Tandberg's pioneering dynamic VOD advertising system and led the complete overhaul of Tandberg Television's brand after completing three key acquisitions in less than a year.
Braxton joined Tandberg through their $120 million acquisition of N2 Broadband, a venture-backed television software startup, where he was responsible for product management, marketing and business development. There, he helped win deployments of the company's on-demand software products in more than 100 cities and in nearly every VOD site in North America.  Previously, Braxton worked at Cox Enterprises as director of product strategy for the cable division and GM in the interactive media division, where he launched the first broadband internet content service in partnership with @Home. Braxton's first tech startup experience was as the head of commercial services with Primenet, an internet startup purchased by GlobalCenter. Braxton received his Bachelor's degree in engineering from Dartmouth College.

John Vecchio - EVP Technology
John's track record for delivering enterprise-class digital video systems over more than a decade of massive technology shifts speaks for itself. He co-founded N2 Broadband, where he built the world's first secure VOD content distribution system, earning the endorsement of Warner Brothers Studios and the rest of the entertainment industry. That system is now the standard for secure digital video content delivery and is used to distribute nearly all VOD content in the US. He then went on to build next-generation VOD management platforms for North America's largest cable operators, who are now using the system to deliver millions of streams of SD and HD video per day in the largest cities in the US.

Before N2 Broadband, John built the industry's first widely deployed two-way digital television platform at Scientific-Atlanta (now part of Cisco), where he was manager of the software development organization. That system is the foundation for the today's most advanced television services and makes up almost half of the cable systems in the US. Through his groundbreaking work over the last 20 years, the systems John built now touch more than 50 million viewers around the world. John received his Bachelor's degree in mathematics from Florida State University.
